An Open Letter to The President

Dear Mr President,

While I didn’t vote for you, like many other Americans, I have accepted the fact that you are the 45th President of the United States. Its not something that I enjoy saying, but I have to accept it.
My hope is that you live up to the promise that you made about being a President for all the people. Black, White, Hispanic, Muslim, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans, Rich AND Poor.
Look out for the woman’s reproductive rights to choose what happens to her body.
For the gay couple’s right to marry.
For the Immigrant family’s right to strive in a country that was built on the backs of people trying to make a better life for themselves.
For the huddled masses yearning to breathe free.
Be there for them.
And while so many of the things you have done lately have been met with dissent, there is one thing that you have done that is amazing. You brought us together as a people. Folks that wouldn’t other wise have anything to do with one another are banding together as one. They are banding together as one, against you.
So thank you for that Mr President.
We The People.
